Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College, Thane (Formerly known as Dnyanasadhana College) a Premier Education Institute, is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1960, on 18th September 1980. The Junior College was recognized by the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra by an order dated 22nd October 1980. By virtue of natural growth a full fledged Degree College was started in June 1983.Accreditation and Ranking(H3)

Facilities and Infrastructure 

The College offers all modern facilities such as Library Reading rooms, Internet Club, auditorium, well equipped Computer laboratory with digital overhead projectors, gymkhana, gym, A.V. Room, students common room, to mention a few. The aim of the college is to encourage and promote education to socially, economically backward & weaker section of the society. The college also aims to assist students in advancement of their education by giving scholarships, prizes, loans, and books for studies.

Library:

Library The college library has a vast collection of more than 72000 books covering the various filled of interest in social sciences, humanities and pure sciences. It has separate collection of Audio / Video Materials like CD’s, DVD’s etc. It has subscription to over 80 periodicals which includes academic journals out of which two are in brail script and popular magazines of general interest and 19 newspapers. In addition to this library provide access to thousands of e-resources through N-LIST (National Library & Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) and other databases. T

NSS:

National Service Scheme has been launched by the college which provides opportunities to the students to participate in various urban and rural projects. Its objective is to train the students to face the challenges of the society and to understand educational and socio-economic problems of the weaker section of the society and solve the issues at the earliest. 

NCC:

The College has got an approval to raise the N.C.C Girls Unit on 5th July, 2007 and to raise a unit of 35 boys from July, 2009 where the students are get chance to complete their Armed Force training in National Cadet Centre and can serve the humanity with the best. 

Scholarship

The college also aims to assist students in advancement of their education by giving scholarships, prizes, loans and books.

Admission

F.Y.B.A/B.Com./B.Sc. admissions will be as per the directives issued by the University of Mumbai from time to time, and subject to availability of seats in the college. Normally, inhouse students are admitted on priority.A few seats may be available in certain subjects for students from other colleges seeking admission to F.Y.B.Sc/ T.Y.
