The college is situated on the holy "Deeksha Bhoomi" in the heart of Chandrapur city where about 3 followers of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar converted to Buddhism on October 16, 1956. The main purpose of the establishment of that Society was to educate the Bahujan Samajs who were forever denied the right to education. The students of this college almost drink the slogan "Shika, Sanghatit Vha, Sangarsh Kara" in their minds and feel enriched. Society is trying hard to follow the principles of Dr. Ambedkar. Hon'ble Arun Ghotekar, the current President of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Society, works hard for the intellectual and spiritual upliftment of the students of the Bahujan Samaj. The society organizes a two-day program at "Deeksha Bhoom" on October 15 and 16 every year. On this auspicious occasion, intellectuals and Buddhist monks give spiritual guidance to devotees from home and abroad in following the laws. The owners are inspired by the teachings of Lord Buddha and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. All club members, the principal, and the college staff work together to make the program a success. Staff and students participate in the organization, planning, and execution of the annual Dhamma Chakra Anuvartan celebrations on October 15 and 16 each year.
