Dr. Paul Raj Engineering College established the college in 1997 in the Temple Town of Bhadrachalam to impart Technical Education to the students in the agency area and thus contribute to the development of the downtrodden. His philanthropy and missionary zeal made his vision complete in the establishment of an Engineering institute with excellent infrastructural facilities as the very first engineering college in the Private Sector in the Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh.

The location of the College in a serene and calm atmosphere on the banks of the Godavari River has made it an ideal place for scholastic pursuits. The college is about 3km from the interstate bus stand of Bhadrachalam, 43 km from the Bhadrachalam road railway station, and around 210km from Gannavaram Airport of Vijayawada.

In addition to this, we also conduct Video classes, Video conferencing, Web-based learning, and direct telecast through interactive learning (e-class) through INSAT 3C satellite by leasing the KU band.

We have already set up a Language Laboratory for students to prepare for TOEFL, GRE, and other competitive examinations, the same helps our students to develop their communication skills, as well as a challenging step towards the real-time environment.

DPREC’s Central Library has been carefully built since 1998. Spread over an area of [HOW MANY} Sq.ft., the DPREC library has a seating capacity of 250 persons and follows the open access system.

1. The Periodicals Section with over-back volumes of scientific and technical periodicals and journals. It also subscribes to specialized journals, of which nearly are from overseas.

2. The Reference Section with books in various disciplines.

3. The Digital Library is equipped with CDs.

4. The Book Bank Area.

5. The Technical Section.

6. The Video Conferencing Room, Where programs like SONET and JNTU are relayed via satellite.

7. The Internet Browsing Area has 30 systems for use, with 5 separate systems for library use alone.
