SGIT Prakasam Library

SGIT College offers a comprehensive library facility for all its students. The central library spans a usable area of 1264 sqm, accommodating 250 seats. The library encompasses a Digital Library, E-Library, Circulation section, journals, newspapers, magazines, reprographic service, and question papers. It houses reference books, project reports, with a total of 5252 titles and 35007 volumes. The library employs the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme, follows an "OPEN ACCESS" system, and utilizes a computerized catalog, along with a manual catalog for book availability. The bar-coding system allows students to retrieve required books from the racks, and reference books are accessible within the library premises.

Reading and group discussion tables are available on the second floor for academic activities, along with digital library facilities on the ground floor, offering video lectures on the server through 60 terminals. The campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity enables students to access video lectures from anywhere on the premises, and the college subscribes to NPTL Video lectures from IIT, Chennai.

SGIT Prakasam Sports and Game

SGIT College provides sports facilities for all students, offering indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, and Caroms. The college boasts playgrounds for Cricket, Football, Shuttle Badminton, Volleyball, Tennis, and Basketball. Regular sports tournaments are conducted as per the schedule, including intercollegiate and inter-university events.
