Facilities and Infrastructure

The Medical College is located in a scenic location spread over 33 acres in Vilad Ghat. It is equipped with gallery-style lecture halls, exam rooms, and technology demonstration rooms. Well-equipped, modernized equipment focusing on the latest technologies makes the laboratory unique. There are separate hostels for men and women and good accommodation. There is a huge auditorium and conference room, indoor and outdoor games, and sports facilities with an outdoor stadium. The central library is spread over a large area with over 14,000 books and a good collection of Indian and foreign magazines along with a digital library. In addition to the central library, each faculty also has its own faculty library for PG staff and students. These libraries, in addition to textbooks on related subjects, also manage specialized journals and magazines.

The College is attached to a 500-bed multi-speciality teaching hospital which is spread over an area of over 25 acres. It has Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Departments. 24/7 Emergency and Trauma care with Blood bank facility. There are well-equipped Clinical and Diagnostic Laboratories. It has a fully equipped ICU, ICCU, NICU, MICU, SICU, and PICU units among others, with modern Operation Theatres. Central Clinical Laboratory stands 24th rank in the “Quality Control Programme” in the external “Quality Assessment Scheme” conducted by Christian Medical College Vellore. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Physiotherapy.

Library

The library was established in 2002 when the school came into operation. It has made steady progress year after year and has a growing collection of 13,492 medical books registered annually in over 100 journals in various medical fields. The total area of the library is 2415.05 sq. ft. mts. It provides an open-access system. The reading room inside and outside the school can accommodate 180 students, the teacher reading room can accommodate 30 rooms and the PG room can accommodate 40 seats. There are 40 internet nodes available with a Wi-Fi facility.

It also has 15 videotape rooms. VKPMC's library has 10,895 titles, including 70 Indian journals and 30 foreign journals for students' reference. Moreover, it has many e-magazines and IP subscriptions. The latest editions of the latest travel books and magazines are categorized by subject and are available to read on the library premises.

Hostel

VPMC, Ahmednagar is located on the hostel campus. This hotel has good water facilities and a hygienic accommodation complex. The hostel has an air-conditioned visitor room, an air-conditioned study room with internet and computers, hygienic food, and toilets. The UG hostel can accommodate 697 students, the practice room can accommodate 183 students, and the boarding area can accommodate 88 students. It also has a residence for 100 PG students. There are living quarters for teachers and non-teaching staff.

There are 291 nurse abilities. For the benefit of students staying in the dormitory, immediate first aid facilities are also provided for the ward. An ambulance is immediately available for students who need admission during business hours and students who need emergency admission and arrive at the dormitory in 5-10 minutes.

Sports

All in all, the indoor sports centre is the hang-out place where students get to take that much-needed break from academic pursuits. The indoor games at our college provide facilities for Table Tennis, chess, carom and other indoor games. We also host many competitions on sports regularly at the college campus. The College provides many opportunities for the students to bring out their talents and improve their leadership qualities.

Auditorium

The college has a well-developed- fully ventilated and ultra-modern seminar hall consisting of comfortable seating arrangements for approx. 150 people. The hall is designed with an efficient sound system, projectors, and conference tables and it is basically made for students and staff to support their academic activities.
