The University was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through G.O.Ms.No.134 dated 26-06-2007 at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari District. It is the second Horticultural University in the country. Andhra Pradesh being the leader in the production of mango, oil palm, chillies, turmeric, sweet orange, papaya and second largest producer of total fruits and spices richly deserves Horticultural University to increase the productivity, sustaining the productivity and commercialization of Horticulture in the State.

The hostel is so good and awesome Per room only 2 college students so that you can be great to students And the mess meals are ideal They are such a lot of occasions and fests which offer alleviation to college students and the occasions are very completely happy And the library has such a lot of books And the university has the high-quality infrastructure.
Facilities and Infrastructure
The campus is cool and full of trees. And greenery everywhere so that we are able to experience much. We have extracurricular sports like sports activities and games. And we play commute Cricket and volleyball. Periodically competitions are held in order that we are able to show ourselves.

The Campus has an auditorium a large room for Student meetings or performances while a theater is a place or building, consisting of a stage and seating capacity of 500 people in a comfortable stretch of 600 square meters. in which an audience gathers to watch plays, musical performances, public ceremonies, and so on.
