Dev Samaj College for Girls was primarily created in 1934 in Lahore by Bhagwan Devatma and was changed to Ambala in 1948, then it became the first women’s college in Ambala Division. The institution has been approved by UGC and since 1974, it has been a part of the Kurukshetra University. It is also certified by NAAC. The college provides the courses of B.A. (General and Honours), B.Com (General and Computer Applications), and B.Sc. The availability of seats is as follows: 550 for B.A. and 160 for B.Com. The admission is based on merit and it requires 10+2 with a minimum of 45–50% marks for eligibility.
