Established in 2004, Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI) placed at the Tathawade campus in Pune is a constituent institute of Dr. D Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune.

The teaching and studies laboratories in conjunction with the lecture rooms are equipped with modern contraptions, computers, and audio-visible presentation facilities and are wifi enabled. The studies-orientated laboratories inclusive of the Microbial Diversity Research Centre (MDRC) and Cancer studies laboratories have sophisticated, superior contraptions and devoted studies staff. In the Bioinformatics Research Laboratory, there's an Optimized Supercomputer, subsidized through DST-SERB, New Delhi. The well-stocked library has ultra-modern variants of a big quantity of textual content and reference books in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, country-wide and worldwide studies journals.
