Emarti Devi Women's College, the dream child of Late Smt. Emarti Devi was founded by Joharimal Public Charitable Trust on 18th August 1980. Since Women's Education has gained enormous importance by our Nation Builders, this College is on the way to fulfilling the intention of the constitution and fortunately it happens to be one of the premier Private Women's Educational institutions of Cuttack City, From the very first day of its inception the College started functioning on the first floor of J.P.C. Trust Building at Nayasarak with 55 Women Students, 7 Lecturers, 1 Librarian, 1 Clerk, and 1 Peon. Under the able management of the J.P.C.
The Cuttack Development Authority has been pleased to allot a plot of land at Bidanasi for the greater interest of the College. The College enjoys the status of an ideal institution headed by the dynamic President of the Governing Body, an efficient Principal, and equally Cooperative and sympathetic staff members and obedient Students. Since Women's Education has gained enormous importance by our Nation Builders, this College is on the way to fulfill the intention of the constitution and fortunately it happens to be one of the premier Private Women's Educational institutions of Cuttack City.
Emarti Devi Women's College, Cuttack is approved by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by Utkal University.
Emarti Devi Women's College, Cuttack courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degrees i.e Bachelor of Arts (BA) History, Bachelor of Arts (BA) Economics, Bachelor of Arts (BA) Home Science, Bachelor of Arts (BA) Sanskrit, etc. You can also find a brief overview of the different courses offered by the university across various disciplines with their specializations on the Course page.
Canteen :
The college canteen provides snacks, tea, coffee, and cold drinks at reasonable rates to the students, faculty members, and employees of the college. The canteen remains open on all working days. Mrs. Manoj Manjari Parida is in charge of Canteen.
Parking Lots :
There is one big hall for parking Scotties / Cycles on the college campus during college hours only.
Games Facilities :
The college has the provision for indoor games facilities. Such as Carom, Chess, Yoga Asana, Chinese, Ring ball, Badminton, Ludo, Table Tennis. Apart from it students are provided outdoor game facilities in Athletics, Badminton, netball, basketball, kabadi, Kho Kho & Yoga Asana. There is also a provision to participate in District, Regional, state, and National games to receive a sports National scholarship.
BOOK BANK
The College library has set up a Book Bank containing prescribed textbooks on different subjects taught in the college. Textbooks are lent to the needy and disserving students of this college. Books are borrowed till the end of the test examination. In special cases, books may be retained till the end of University examinations if the full cost of the books is deposited as caution money.
