Excel College Of Architecture And Planning Namakkal was established in the year 2009. It is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA), India, and affiliated with Anna University (AU), Chennai. ECAP is located within the 130-acre Excel Institution Campus at Pallakkapalayam, Komarapalayam, in the Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu. As a creamy section of Excel Group Institutions, the ECAP can provide quality professional education in the field of Architecture. The students are given the knowledge and specific skills necessary to lead successful lives and to grow into positions of influence and leadership in their profession. We are the first of the recognized institutes of Architecture covering the districts of Namakkal, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Karur, Kallakurichi, and Dharmapuri. It is the 12th Consecutive Batch to receive the Undergraduate (UG) Degree, ‘Bachelor of Architecture’ (B.Arch.). ECAP is the only institution to offer a Post Graduate (PG) Degree, ‘Master of Architecture’ (M.Arch.) in the above-mentioned region consisting of 7 Districts.

Convention Centre

Excel Group Institutions have a well-equipped Convention Centre with a seating capacity of over 2000 persons. The Excel Convention Centre is spacious, air-conditioned, and has well a furnished Hall of 25,375 sq. ft. in area with a stage measuring 30 x 98 ft. It has 12 fully-furnished suite rooms equipped with modern projection and audio systems, and a fully air-conditioned Mini-Hall, measuring 8,729 sq. ft. in area. In addition to a Dining Hall, and an open Car Parking Area that can accommodate 1000 cars. It provides ample opportunity for students to exhibit their talents in cultural activities.

ECAP Excel Data Center / Digital Hub

The vast Data Center with over 50 systems provides for the convenient project work of students late into the evening. The Blade Server connects 1700 systems within the campus, and upon an application, every student is given Wi-Fi Connection on Laptops and even Mobile Phones around the clock.

ECAP Library

The College has one of the finest central libraries in the District with an impressive collection of 43,610 books on varied topics with 10,302 titles. It has adequate reading space for students where they can study. It has over 100 journals and several subscriptions for Monthlies, Weeklies, and Dailies. These form unique educational support for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students as well as faculty members. It has computer cataloging and online access to famous libraries in different parts of the world.

ECAP ATM

The Excel Campus has 2 ATMs within its well-guarded compound walls for the benefit of the students, staff, and parents alike so that the need for liquid cash at any time can be met without the worry of having to carry money in one’s custody in advance. There is an additional ATM adjacent to the Main Gate of the Excel Group Institutions, to the right side, that helps to avoid rushing or having to wait in a queue.

ECAP Guest House

There is a Spacious and Luxurious Guest House named ‘The Welcome Block’ close to the Main Entrance where the parents and relatives of the students can stay with all comfort during their visits to their wards in the various Institutions of the Excel Group. ECAP Hostels

Excel Institutions provide excellent hostel facilities for students who have come far away from home for their education. At Excel, the hostels have good infrastructure separately for Boy students and Girl students to stay comfortably. In all the hostels various activities and amenities are provided efficiently under responsible wardens. The Campus has a well-equipped Clinic with a Doctor at fixed hours and nursing service round the clock. There is also a full-fledged Hospital with 200 Beds with all wellness services. There is also an Ambulance Service that offers 24-Hour Service to anyone in need within the Campus.

ECAP Multi Gyms

Gymnasiums with a total of 42 Stations are provided in both Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels for ensuring the physical fitness of our students and also to alleviate their stress.

ECAP Sports & Games

The Department of Physical Education plays a pivotal role in the educative process going on in the various Departments of the EGIs. Every care is taken to provide the best infrastructural facilities for physical education through sports and games such as Shuttle Badminton (16 Indoor Courts), Basket Ball (4 Cemented & Floodlit Courts), Volley Ball (3 Courts), Football (2 Pitches), Cricket (2 Pitches), and many more made to International Standards.

ECAP Parking Lots

All the roads in the vast and spread out Campus of EGIs have been macadamized and tarred, and every Block of the building has been provided with Parking Lots for Two Wheelers as well as Four Wheelers.

ECAP Store

Excel makes provision for all the stationery as well as the store items needed by the students within easy reach and they can make photocopies of study materials at rationalized rates. The Store is stuffed with all the items they need and they do not need to approach the shops outside the campus.

ECAP Transport

For the benefit of the Students and Faculty Members, Excel Institution Buses are being operated to near and far places like Sankari, Salem, Omalur, Mettur, Tiruchengode, Erode, Arachaloor, Anthiyur, Thindal, Bhavani, Chennimalai, Edappadi, and Komarapalayam. Transport is arranged at convenient times to reach the campus and back home in time. For this, a fleet of 59 buses has been inducted into operation. Public Transport is also convenient and frequent as the Main Gate of the EGIs is beside the National Highway-544 between Salem and Coimbatore.

BC / MBC / PMS / Minority Scholarship

BC / MBC Scholarships are available only to those who are natives of Tamil Nadu and who belong to the caste included in the list of BCs and MBCs. Anyone who is not a native of Tamil Nadu is not entitled to any benefit from any scheme even if he belongs to a caste included in the list of BCs & MBCs of Tamil Nadu.

Post Matric Scholarship scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and implemented through State Government and UT Administration. The Scheme provides financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.

Minority Scholarship is awarded to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority communities to provide them with better opportunities for higher education. Applicants must belong to a minority community as notified by the Government of India. These include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, and Jains.
