The Faculty of Engineering and Technology is a stepping stone under the charter of Datta Meghe Institute Of Higher Education & Research (Deemed to be University) to promote globally acclaimed technocrats. This novel program aimed to enable the students to work on advanced prosthetics and interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to address the challenges of the developing world through ethical values and knowledge base.

The fast-paced advancement in the field of technology has raised manifold demand for a highly skilled workforce, hence to meet the demand for skilled professionals in varied areas like artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, computer science & design, medical and agriculture engineering five new age undergraduate and two postgraduate courses are introduced. These specialized B.Tech courses will enable students to build intelligent machines, software, or applications with a cutting-edge combination of machine learning, analytics, and visualization technologies, to satisfy engineering, healthcare, and agriculture-based needs. M.Tech. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science program aims at serving the demand for experts and engineers who can deal with scientific methodologies, processes, and techniques drawn from different domains like statistics, cognitive science, and computing and information science to extract knowledge from structured and unstructured data to develop sophisticated and complex systems.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

The faculty of Engineering and Technology has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledge.

Students Clubs and Technical Clubs:

We conduct several activities once the admission process gets over. These activities are conducted under the different clubs, which are monitored by the student well fare coordinator. Dr. Pavan Kumar is the student well fare coordinator of FEAT. Different clubs have been formed and several activities are conducted from time to time throughout the semester. We start with the activity named “Orientation Program” at the beginning of the first semester. In this program, all the deaneries of DMIMS University, faculties, and students along with their parents/guardians participate in this one-day program. Further, a two-week program named “Induction Program” is conducted. In this two-week program, several activities are conducted. Some of the activities are Yoga/Meditation and Mind Relaxation Sessions, talk on placement sessions, talk on health issues, and talk on human values and personality development. We also visit different places such as Mahatma Gandhi Ashram, different colleges of our university (Medical College, Dental College, and Ayurvedic College, etc. and several other places.

Placement:

A well-established Training & Placement cell, DMIMS(DU) has evolved as an eminent center to play a fundamental role in shaping the career of students and boosting their employability. The placement cell work with the onus of providing skilled professionals, who can sustain in competitive environments, clarify the career interests of students, offer career guidance avenues, and provide necessary training with an enriching experience. In addition, the placement cell operates around the year to identify the needs and expectations of the industries, establish liaisons with hospitals and companies, and assist them in recruiting.
