In 1969, recognizing the vital need for skilled supervisors capable of addressing real-world production challenges, Father Agnel Technical College embarked on a significant initiative. The institution's vision led to the establishment of Agnel Technical College, aimed at providing competent supervisory manpower for shop floor production. With the backing of the Maharashtra government, permission was secured to launch a full-time 1/2-year Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich Pattern) with an initial intake of 60 students. This pioneering program involved intensive industrial training over two semesters, enabling students to gain practical insights and confidence in tackling production issues. As the years progressed, the diploma course evolved into a comprehensive 4-year Diploma course in Production Engineering, reflecting the institution's commitment to staying relevant and meeting industry demands.
