Fatima Michael College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2009, by the renowned educationist and philanthropist Ln. Dr. M. Stalin Arokiaraj, Chairman of St. Michael Group of Institutions. FMCET relentlessly strives for academic excellence with technical orientation. FMCET campus is spread across a sprawling area of 49 acres with a built-up area of 2,50,000 sq. ft. Library:

Have got a well-stocked library which has a built-up area of 10,000 sq. ft.Students can avail of this awesome facility to complement their theoretical competencies and live up to date with modern affairs. Our computerized library contains 8000 books from diverse fields and has subscribed to National and International journals and magazines. The digital library stands as a testimonial to our desire for technological advancements. Well-qualified librarians and assistants are always available to render help to the users of the library. The library is computerized and equipped with a Photocopier for taking copies of any relevant article from the reference section of the library.

Internet Facility:

To stay updated with emerging technologies and to enrich the student's exposure to the world, our campus is equipped with high-speed 8 MBPS internet connectivity. Internet hours are integrated in the timetable for the students to access, download information, and update their technical hypotheses. They gain confidence to prove their excellence in technical skills and expose the same through paper presentations, seminars, and technical symposiums.

Laboratories:

state-of-the-art and contemporary laboratories act as ideal training grounds for budding professionals that allow them to experiment and bring to practice what they have learned in classrooms. Our laboratories pave way for our students to Observe, Experiment, Analyze and turn up logical conclusions. Leo Club:

Though not everything, it is wonderful to note, our students can do something worthy for society through the Leo club. The students in our college excel not only as professionals but also as a human with values. Our college conducts regular blood donor camps, medical camps, awareness programs, and many such activities for the well-being of society.

Sports & Games:

In addition to academic performance, sports, and games are also given vital importance. A sports complex with contemporary facilities for sports men and women has been established. This complex has Indoor games, fitness centre with sophisticated equipments. Our campus encompasses state-of-the-art playing grounds for football, cricket, and volleyball and has facilities for indoor games to keep the students healthy, physically fit, and mentally smart. Students are trained by professional trainers. Our students have bagged numerous prizes at National Level Championships Tournaments.

Hostels:

The college has magnificently designed separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities that ensure a round and balanced development of pupils' personalities with hygienic living conditions and modern amenities. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished with attached bathrooms. The serene upbringing helps the students to learn and develop self-discipline, individuality and cordial relationship with others.

Transport facilities:

Transportation is another feat of the college and it is operated from all the main towns and cities around the college to take students and staff from their respective stops to college in a safe and organized manner during morning and evening. The busses are operated from Madurai, Manamadurai, Kalayar kovil, Sivagangai, and Melur. Special trips are arranged for hostellers during holidays and these facilities are expanded every year.

Placement

Training & Placement cell is the top most priority of FMCET and aims at 100% placement. Our placement cell undertakes counseling, training, and value additions to ensure that students are ready to get placed in reputed organizations. The cell maintains continuous contact with the Industry's veterans and top officials to provide the best career opportunity to the students. A full day a week is scheduled to train the students to enrich their technical skills, soft skills, aptitude knowledge, verbal reasoning, and comprehensive skills. All efforts are being taken by the Cell to develop a good "Industry-Institute" relationship.
