The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (FISAT) is a self-funded private engineering school founded and promoted by the Educational Society of the Federal Association of Bank Clerks (FBOAES).  FBOAES is an initiative of the Federal Bank Agents Association (FBOA), the sole representative of all federal bank agents. The Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) occupies a unique position in the vocational education sector in South India. Under the motto "Focus on Excellence" FISAT was designed and developed as a "Center of Excellence" in vocational training. Founded in 2002, the college has carved a niche for itself in the education sector, as evidenced by the academic excellence of its students, internships, and undergraduate and graduate activities. FISAT has launched an ambitious plan to improve the quality and value of education while developing quality units.

Accreditation and Ranking: 

The institution is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A+’ grade in the 2nd cycle. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited five B.Tech programs. The institution is also ISO 9001:2015 certified. FISAT is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Courses Offered:

FISAT offers seven B.Tech engineering programs,(B.Tech.) in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, a(B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering  MBA program (with specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Information System, Production & Operations Management, and International Business), an MCA program, five (M.Tech.) Artificial Intelligence (M.Tech) in Power Electronics & Devices programs and Ph.D. programs.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Federal Institute of Science And Technology has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from the Federal Institute of Science And Technology, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the Federal Institute of Science And Technology are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Central data center:

FISAT has a well-developed central IT facility with state-of-the-art, high-performance computers, and peripherals to meet the IT needs of staff and students.  Established in May 2009, the CCF has nine laboratories and a sufficient number of computers, all with Intel Core i5 / Core i3 processors, 8 GB / 4 GB RAM, and 18 inches 5 inch TFT screen, and Debian GNU Linux and Ubuntu operating systems This 15,000 square foot high-tech lab are fully air-conditioned with constant power supply, servers are available 24 hours a day.  The interior and layout are modern in style to maximize the use and beauty of the space. The department has a high-performance data center with its own Dakshina cluster and a Tesla supercomputer.

IT infrastructures: 

The Central Computing Facility was launched by FISAT in May 2009. The CCF includes nine laboratories with a total of 500 computers, all equipped with Intel Core i5/Core i3 processors, 4 GB RAM/8 GB RAM/18 TFT screens 0.5 inches, and Debian GNU as the operating system Linux or Ubuntu. This 15,000-square-foot high-tech lab complex is entirely air-conditioned and has an uninterruptible power supply. The campus has about 1200 computers and servers, all of which are connected by a single LAN. Staff and students can access their data at any time through the intranet. Our servers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The interiors and layout are designed in a contemporary style for maximum utility for space and aesthetics. 

Hostels: 

FISAT has always strived for excellence and is committed to it. The same applies to the student dormitories. FISAT offers on-campus accommodation for 1,200 students that is both affordable and of excellent quality. The infrastructure is modern and the environment is conducive to learning and relaxation. 

With strict design and excellent workmanship, students have more personal freedom. The atmosphere is calm, serene, and safe, with a warm vibe. There are two blocks of flats for boys and girls. Proximity to the city is beneficial for students as it allows them more flexibility and freedom in meeting their needs. As we believe in the adage "A sound mind in a sound body", we encourage students to use the fitness center and sports facilities located in the college and hostel blocks.  The men's hostel has room for 600 people and the women's hostel for 600 people. The modern fitness center is open to both boys and girls.

Cafeteria: 

Whether you're traveling, need a quiet place to eat and study, or want to gather a group of friends for a meal, there are many appetizing and diverse options and environments throughout campus to suit your needs.  There is something for every taste, freshly prepared by our team of experienced chefs in our kitchens. The importance of good food in the life of FISAT cannot be overstated. Since its establishment in 2002, FISAT has been delighted to offer delicious meals prepared with quality ingredients in hygienic conditions. The college cafeteria is conveniently located near all campus faculties. In the college cafeteria, a wide range of snacks and dishes are freshly prepared in our kitchens by our team of experienced chefs at an affordable price. Even at peak times, there are enough places for students and employees. It is the most popular meeting place on campus, where you can not only refresh yourself physically but also strengthen student bonds and get into the conversation. 

Bank and ATM: 

Federal Bank and ATM Travancore Federal Bank Limited, Nedumpuram were incorporated on April 23, 1931, under the Travancore Companies Regulation 1916 and incorporated in December 1949 under the direction of the late K.P.Except who took over in 1945.  The bank was one of the first in India to digitize all of its 1,200 branches, surpassing traditional Indian banks in using technology to streamline operations. The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology is operated by the Federal Association for Banker Education (FBOAES), a project of the Federal Association of Bankers (FBOA) (FISAT).  The bank has been an important supporter since the college was founded in 2002.

Library: 

The FISAT Library and Information Department provide services to the FISAT community and to the staff of various college departments and neighboring institutions.  The college has a central library and MBA and MCA reference libraries. The central library is housed in a three-story building with separate reference and storage rooms. libraries are fully automated and have more than 82,117 volumes of textbooks and encyclopedias with over 19,682 titles. The library subscribes to 235 print and technical journals, including 65 IEEE publications and over 15,000 electronic journals. The digital collection includes over 3,000 DVDs and CD-ROMs.The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is a component of the FISAT INTRANET that allows members to search for, reserve, or status library books from anywhere in the world through the FISAT website www.fisat.ac.in to check.  

smart cards are used for library transactions. There is a reprography center in the library. The DSpace Digital Library offers library users access to the library's digital archives. The library also offers a "book bank program" in which members receive a standard book in each subject for their tenure.
