Gandhi Institute for Education and Technology(GIET) is a fast-growing Engineering College, situated on the Southern belt of the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. It was established in the year 2009 with the most promising task of imparting high-quality technical education to its students. GIET is accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi, Govt. of India, affiliation to BPUT Rourkela, Govt. Of Odisha and SCTE&VT, Govt. Of Odisha. Its campus is rich in natural ambiance and scenic beauty; the institute keeps growing each year with a goal to excel and continues to enrich each year with new feathers to its cap.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The GIET central library aims to have a multidisciplinary approach to learning, teaching, sharing, and researching in various sectors. These all sectors combine to develop an education-directed mindset in the students, faculties, and Researchers. It is comprised of 500 seated Air Conditioned Reading Rooms and more than 34,000 Volumes of Books, around 559 educational CDs/DVDs.GIET subscribes to 165 National International Journals with digital Library Facilities. The library strives to master curiosity and provide a repository of options for sharing, preserving, exploring, and analyzing vast knowledge sources. The GIET Central library also has provisions for professional development with an assortment of disciplines complementary to engineering and technology like humanities, art and culture, and other social sciences. The Institute has access through the 24*7 Wi-Fi facility inside the campus.

The Central Library of GIET fulfills the mission of holistic development in learning by creating an environment ideal enough for the smooth exchange of learning, teaching, research, and knowledge. This is done by promoting, providing, and making access to diverse resources to all staff, students, and alumni. It aims to incorporate diverse opinions and perspectives for the betterment, learning, research, and motivated efforts to seek knowledge. The library also regularly celebrates the production of knowledge by GIET. Its regular collaboration and connection with other academic centers and libraries enrich its stand to renew its resources.

The Computer Centre is a Central Facility of the College maintained under the department of CSE. Its objective is to provide cutting-edge hardware, software, and networking support for the growth and development of college Academics, Administration, Examinations, and Research related activities. It has been the epicenter of all network and application needs of the College since its inception managing the core IT infrastructure.

Computer laboratories are being upgraded from time to time to provide the best computational infrastructure.

Healthcare facilities for students and staff are felt to be a basic need. The institute has a dispensary on campus to meet the first aid and routine medical requirements of the students free of cost. A separate room is earmarked for the said facility. Specialists visit the campus at least twice a month to ensure the good health of the day scholars, staff, and the inmates of the hostel.

An ambulance facility is also available in the college and can be availed by a student/patient on the recommendation of the medical officer and/or the seriousness of the case by the concerned Hostel Warden.

Free health checkup camps are organized from time to time in the college. Our college also serves the noble cause of blood donation. Blood Donation camps are organized two-three times in a year. Volunteers can donate their blood and get certificates too.

The Canteen equipped with all the modern amenities for healthy, hygienic& quality food, serves 1800+ students and staff every day maintaining an “Eat Healthy, Think Better, Breathe Pure” environment.

The round-the-clock cafeteria serves Fresh Fruit Juice, Tea, Coffee, Ice Cream, Cold Drinks, and Delicious snacks to make students have active taste buds and feel smart.

A fully air-conditioned gymnasium, with modern imported equipment, exists inside the campus. Two qualified Gym Instructors are available round the clock to train students specifically for their respective sports. The Gym has separate timings for men and women.

Fitness and Recreation - Gymnasia & Snookers

A centralized air-conditioned room with audio/video facilities well equipped with all the latest imported fitness equipment for gymnasia and snooker tables for snooker lovers. For proper guidance, two qualified gym and snooker instructors are available round-the-clock to train the students, with separate timings for men and women students.

To provide a banking facility for the students and staff, we established an ATM of SBI adjacent to our college campus. To make banking easier for our students, 24 hours ATM facility has been provided. Hostel students enjoy the benefits more.SBI, Khurda Branch provides zero balance students a/c facility along with passbook and ATM for GIET students. Students can avail of this facility by submitting a bona fide form duly signed by the authority.
