And with them, the Gandhi Institute of Hotel Management started its humble journey under the name of Gandhi Academy of Management Studies in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Obtaining a management degree was high at the time. This forced many students to give up this great opportunity to join a thriving industry. It was there that the founders of our institute, Hon'ble Chairman Shrimati Sarbani Das and Hon'ble CEO Shri Avishek Mitra stepped into this gloomy academic picture and changed the lives of many students by opening the doors of the Gandhi Institute of Hotel Management.
