Hostel

The College boasts a well-established hostel facility situated within the campus, adjacent to the main building. This hostel plays a crucial role in addressing the accommodation needs of students, especially those hailing from rural areas. Aqua guards are installed on taps to ensure a supply of pure water, and amenities such as a reading room and indoor game facilities contribute to a homely atmosphere.

Hostel Committee:

Government College For Women, Guntur hostel is efficiently managed by a committee comprised of students, with the Principal serving as the warden, supported by a deputy warden, six staff members, and student representatives. Through collaborative efforts, students actively engage in budget discussions and organize various religious festivals, cooperating with the administration to uphold cleanliness in the surroundings.

Accommodation:

Exclusively dedicated to women, the hostel buildings are located within the college campus, accommodating students from Intermediate, Degree, and Postgraduate programs. The student-managed hostel can house 675 students.

Recreational Facilities:

The hostel features an assembly hall equipped with a Public Address System (PAS), serving as a central space for gatherings, discussions, recreational activities, and the celebration of diverse religious festivals. Additional facilities include a TV for watching news and informative programs, a DVD player for movies on holidays, and a Reading Room with newspapers and journals in English and regional languages.

Library

The Government College For Women, Guntur Library, an integral part of Government College for Women, Guntur, holds a prominent position in fostering research and education. Its mission is to facilitate knowledge creation through the acquisition, organization, and dissemination of resources, providing valuable services. The library, updated to SOUL 2.0 library management software by INFLIBNET, Ahmedabad, during the academic year 2017-’18, is also connected with a broadband internet connection.
