In the beginning, the college was affiliated with Andhra University and recognized by the UGC under 2F and 12B in the year 1993. Later it is affiliated with Dr B.R.Ambedkar University in 2010 which was recently established in our district. The college is physically and technologically upgraded by sanctioned RUSA grants in 2017.
