About Government Degree College Pakala

This college was started in the academic year 2008-09 to cater to the needs of students belonging to the marginalised sections, those considered below the poverty line. Before the establishment of the college, students were forced to travel to more distant places such as Tirupati or Chittoor to pursue higher education. In a short time, the college has helped students from Pakala and surrounding areas to pursue their higher education without much difficulty. Pakala with a good old railway junction connecting the town to several places became a convenient destination for the students around.

The hostels on campus. There are 32 living rooms which can accommodate 5 students in each room, provided with a writing table, chair and a cupboard. There are sufficient toilets, bathrooms and washbasins with running water. There are two dining halls and a modern kitchen. The Library

Government Degree College, Pakala has its excellently equipped library housed in a second-storeyed building. It is well-ventilated and furnished with a pleasant academic environment. Computer Lab

The requirement of the day is computer Education. Our computer lab has 49 systems and continuously provides knowledge and experience to our students. The lab is also open after school hours, allowing interested students to practice and become masters of computer operations. Students use the Internet function to download and prepare teaching tutorials and use the network for PowerPoint preparation.

This place is very comfortable for all the students to relax for a while. Here are available not only tasty snacks but also stationery and other personal things.

Indoor games and Gymnasium

There is a provision for a gym and some indoor games items are available for the students. There is a period allotted to them, a group wise and they utilize this gym as most of the students these days try to keep their body fit with some light exercises. So this place is very helpful for the students in maintaining a good physique and helps in having a sound mind and healthy body.
