About Government Degree College, Prakasam

The college has been functioning along with a 48-year-old junior college, both sharing the same campus and classrooms. Situated in the heart of the town, the college is surrounded by green vegetation and beautiful Nallamalai hills. Cumbum, once a part of Rayalaseema, is well known for Cumbum Lake, one of the oldest man-made lakes in Asia.

Residential Accommodation

Separate boys and girls hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with WiFi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate about 150 students each with good infrastructure. A university van and a car are always available to meet new customer needs. A well-equipped gymnasium is set up for the students of the hostel to develop the physical abilities of boys and girls. They also have indoor play facilities. A hygienic mess is attached to hostels.
