The college is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Trust Bar Society act. The college was affiliated with JNTU, Kakinada. The GDMM College of Engineering was established in the year 2008 in Nandigama, Krishna district, The Institute is a fast-growing Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh. The campus spans a campus of approximately 11 acres with separate blocks for various programmes, Departments, libraries, Auditoriums, workshops, Hostels and offices.  The auditorium of the institute has a seating capacity of 1500 people.

Separate boys' and girls' hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with WiFi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate around 150 students each with good infrastructure.
