G.H.G. Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar has the benign blessings of Guru Hargobind Sahib, who spent significant moments of his life here. This place, where now we have the magnificent edifice housing the colleges, was in about 1920, a waste stretch of land. But with the Almighty's blessings in 1921, Nihang Shamsher Singh Ji, a great devotee of Guru Sahib, had a visionary dream and established a 'Gurmukhi Pathshala' which he used to call 'a college'.
G.H.G. Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar has the graces of Guru Hargobind Sahib, who lived for significant periods of his life in this place. The place that is now where we have the impressive structure housing the colleges was, in around 1920, a squatter piece of land. However, with the blessings of God in the year 1921 Nihang Shamsher Singh Ji who was a fervent follower of Guru Sahib, had visionary dreams and set up a 'Gurmukhi pathshala' that was then what he used to call "a college'.
G.H.G. Khalsa College is affliated with Kurukshetra University. The college is affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
G.H.G. Khalsa College's programs are offered at various levels, including Undergraduate Degree i.e. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) * Guru Hargobind Hostel for Boys the foundation stones of Guru Hargobind Hostel was laid in 1990. Guru Hargobind Hostel was laid in 1990 by S. Bakhtawar Singh Gill the former president of the hostel.
President, College Governing Council. The hostel was officially opened by Prof. Manjit Singh, Former Head of Granthi The Sri Akal Taht Sahib. The hostel was commemorating the 400th anniversary of the sixth master of Sikhs, Sri Hargobind Sahib. The boys' hostel has three floors with the capacity to hold a total of 84 people. Computer Lab
The college has well-equipped labs that allow students to keep up with their peer's new technology and emerging trends in IT sectors. Our primary concentration is in shaping the future of IT. Students develop into effective students to become proficient users of different software and programming Languages. The college has an ultra-modern computer center, with four computers and Labs with networks. The labs have Internet connectivity that is available 24 hours a day.
Chemistry Lab
The campus also houses an ultra-modern Chemistry Lab with cutting-edge brand equipment and boasts of an innovative design that integrates to meet the requirements of water and gas supply in addition to a variety of security precautions.
Physics Lab
The Department of Physics has well-equipped laboratories that are full of equipment with the latest technology. students conduct experiments in the scientific method: take notes, analyze the results, calculate computations, draw conclusions, and report errors.
Biotechnology Lab
Within Biotechnology labs, hands-on use of the most sophisticated equipment employed in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Plant Tissue Culture as well as Biology of Cells, Biology, etc. is offered to students to aid them in their pursuit of research and spark their interest in bioanalytical methods. The fascinating and practical experience can inspire students to pursue higher studies in the area of Biotechnology.
Zoology Lab
Hemichordata and all vertebrates, starting with urochordate and all vertebrates mammalia.Students develop proficiency in basic laboratory procedures such as blood group demonstration, percent of HB, etc. Practical understanding of various pests and economic crucial Insects are provided.
Since Botany is an investigation of plants. The botany lab provides facilities for users to determine the characterization of diverse kinds of plants. Fully equipped lab with specimens of every related kingdom to enhance the understanding of Students and help them become students familiar with the different kingdoms of plants.
Food Processing & Quality Management Lab
The campus of the college offers FPQM laboratories to students, where they learn about food processing, food packaging, vegetable and fruit processing etc. we aim to make every student into an Entrepreneur.
Medical Lab Technology
MLT labs allow students gain knowledge of the basic and advanced techniques to diagnose illnesses using lab tests in clinical laboratories. Students walk out prepared for careers in the diagnostic labs.
COLLEGE LIBRARY
The College has libraries that are well-stocked, consisting of more than 50000 books and electronic books. In order to make the most effective usage of this library the following guidelines are to be followed :
1. The library's books will be available to be used for 14 days. After that, a penalty of Rupee one for each book each day will be imposed.
2. Each U.G. student can be given four books, and a P.G. student will receive 5 books at one time.
3. If a student is unable to locate the book, damages or destroys the contents of a book or book, the student has to purchase a replacement book or pay more than the cost of the book. If the book is uncommon or is out of the set and is not readily available the student will have be required to pay the amount set by the librarian as well as the Principal.
4. A reissued book may be pulled back at any time, at the sole discretion of The librarian.
5. At the moment of admission the pupils will be issued identification as well as library cards. Students will be accountable for the books taken from the library the cards.
6. When using the library, students are expected to keep a strict silence and maintain a strict discipline.
7. To be a member of the college library, outside users will have be granted permission from the principal.
8. The student can draw a book of text book in the subject areas of Punjabi, Hindi and English after depositing their identity card. The book has to be returned
on the same day.
9. Postgraduate students can make journals and magazines in the college library in accordance with the guidelines.
Transport Facility
Security and safety of students, particularly of girls, is our highest priority. With this in mind the availability of an array of buses is provided. The service is accessible to students for a period of one year. The cost is payable on a half-yearly basis.
Cafeteria
The aim of cafetrias and meals service is to provide high-quality meals so that pupils and the staff can be secured by decreasing the risk of food-borne illnesses, in sanitary conditions that are safe and the prevention of food that is adulterated. There are a variety of foods are accessible to the students, keeping their health and flavor in mind.
Audio Visual Facilities
There is a large hall that can accommodate the capacity of 100 people. The college has the facility of sophisticated class rooms, L.C.D. Projectors and Over Head Projectors. A variety of educational CD's are available. A separate cell that can help and teach teachers in the preparation of Multimedia or Audio Visual presentations and teaching programs has been created.
Central Student Council
The college has established an Career Guidance and Counselling Cell. It assists students in choosing of the subjects and courses at the moment of admissions as well as avenues to further studies. Students are advised on how to select the best career option and ways that will prepare them to be ready for it. The students are offered counseling in times of difficulties. To make sure that students participate in decisions, the student Welfare Council is formed from students from the college students.
