Government College, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala was established in 1975 as a government educational institution to provide higher education to build a career in liberal arts, science, and computer applications.  Government College, Attingal is NAAC-B accredited and affiliated with KU, Thiruvananthapuram. Government College, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram is headed by Dr. Fr Anitha Dhamayanth (Principal). 

Government ITI Attingal (GITIA) was established in 1972 at Chirayinkeezhu in Attingal. It offers ITI training programs under the auspices of the Government of Kerala. It offers NCTV training programs (qualifications) with 22 trade-related courses for approximately 1,124 trainees. The institute also organizes short courses for SC and ST trainees. All recruitment processes at ITI Attingal are based on the results of the 10th review by recognized bodies. It is recognized as a premier and highly reputable ITI institute in the Kerala district. Interns are placed into NCTV-related industries by the institute's internship cell.
