Global Group of Institutes have been founded by Dr B S Chandi and Dr Akashdeep Singh Chandi, who have the vision for creating a truly world class institutes which will cater to the needs of Indian and Overseas Industry, Research and Educational Institutions. Global Group of Institutes have tremendously grown since their inception in 2008 and are well known for imparting the Quality Education in the region.
Global Group of Institutes have been established by Dr. B S Chandi and Dr Akashdeep Singh Chandi. They are aiming to create an institution of world-class quality that will meet the requirements of Indian and Overseas Industry, Research and Educational Institutions. Global Group of Institutes have significantly grown since the beginning of their existence back in 2008 and have become known for providing the highest quality education in the region.
Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar is a part of I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC).
Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar is the name given to the institute. The institute offers programs at different levels, which include undergraduate degree programs i.e. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) with a focus on Information Technology Engineering, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) for Computer Science Engineering, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Mechanical Engineering and more. A Diploma degree i.e. Diploma in Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry), Diploma in Electrical Engineering etc., Postgraduate degree i.e. MBA (Master of Business Administration), Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and many more. and more. Additionally, there is an overview of all the courses offered by the University in various disciplines, as well as their areas of expertise on the webpage dedicated to the courses offered.
Global Group of Institutes are located in a clean area and the campus spreads across 25 acres of Lush Green lawns all around. It offers peace to the soul and mind of all who visit the campus.
Classrooms
The learning spaces are well-lit, air-conditioned and equipped by Wi-Fi Internet facility, as well as multimedia LCD projectors, as well as audio-video aids for presentations.
Library
There are three fully-equipped libraries. One for Engg., MCA & MBA students and the third one is exclusively for MBA students. The third library is for students in polytechnics. There are more than 32,000 books purchased from reputed publishers along with a large number of magazines and National/International journals and Newspapers. Both libraries can be described as "E-Libraries" and have the possibility of electronic books and electronic journals. Computers are specifically set up in the library to allow students to access NPTEL videos about their chosen subjects.
Hostel
Ultra Modern hostels for Girls and Boys are located on campus.
The rooms are all large, well-ventilated with lighting, air-cooled, and spaciously furnished. Each bathroom has hot water facilities. Each room has a 4 seater. Power backup is provided in all rooms.
The right to use the residential Facility is reserved by the Institutes and may be denied to any student at the discretion of the Institutes without giving any reason. Students are not allowed to use this facility on a right basis. Residential Facilities will be provided on a First Come First Serve basis or in other ways as determined through the Institutes. The place and layout of the Residence Facility The floor and room layout can change from time to time (every term). The surprise inspection may be scheduled anytime, without notice.
Healthy foods are made under the supervision of a doctor. Students are kept healthy by playing sports like Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Basketball. Volleyball, Table Tennis, etc. Well Equipped Gymnasium is also accessible on the campus. 24/7 power backup and Wi-Fi internet connection (310 Mbps) enhance the hostel experience. The entire Campus is protected by CCTV surveillance and is manned by the staff that is part of the Security Staff Hostel. Mess costs include daily three food items, WiFi internet access, 24/7 power backup in addition to a gym, and other amenities for hostels.
Director's Residence and Staff Residence In order to keep a watchful eye and maintain discipline within the hostel, Directors' and key staff members' housing has been built near the hostels for girls and boys.
Conference Hall
Three air-conditioned conference rooms feature ultra-modern furnishings, and multi-media LCD projectors equipped with audio-video aids for presentations.
Auditorium
The new auditorium at our Institute is equipped with top quality furniture and modern technology, such as an audio system multimedia LCD screen, Wi-Fi internet access as well as Audio-Visual aids.
Transport
Catering to a lot of students who are day scholars, the college has a fleet of buses for the convenience of faculty and students. Students are charged a subsidized cost for transportation to this facility. Buses cover several routes including Amritsar, Daburji, Tarn Tarn, Chabbal, Bhikhiwind, Ajnala, Chogawan, Rayya, Mehta, Qadian, Batala, Gurdaspur, Fatehgarh Churian, Dera Baba Nanak etc.
Wifi Campus
Students on campus are able to access high-speed wi-fi connection to the internet(310Mbps). This allows them to view online classes and assignments that are posted by their teachers, as well as the instructions issued through the institution. Institute provides a high-speed lease line to students for access to the Internet. Wi-Fi coverage isn't limited to only classrooms but extends to common areas such as Auditorium, Library, Cafeteria, Guest House, Sports Complex, and Hostels.
Playgrounds
In addition to the many societies and clubs that contribute towards the Global Group of Institutes' vibrant life, we also have a long tradition of sports. We have gained a reputation for our success in intercollegiate tournaments and competitions. We provide indoor and outdoor sports facilities including Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, cricket, etc. Students are involved in Sports with an enthusiasm that is infectious. A new gym is coming to the school equipped with the most up-to-date equipment to allow students to exercise during the evening hours and enjoy energy and vitality.
Each season, the Global Group of Institutes holds a two-day Sports Meet for the students on the athletic track of the college. Each semester, we organize inter-departmental Cricket & Football tournaments known as Global Premier League (GPL), and Global Football League (GFL). Students are involved in all games with a lot of enthusiasm.
Dispensary
A fully functional dispensary stocked with the most important medications as well as a lady doctor who is on duty at all times during college hours to attend to the urgent needs of students. The college also offers the services of specialists available on call to handle the most serious of cases.
Cafeteria
A large and clean multi-cuisine restaurant is designed to meet the demands of the staff and students. The restaurant has a committee made up of staff and students that check sanitation, discipline, and high-quality food regularly.
Training & Placement
The Training & Placement Department of the Global Group of Institutes has been at the forefront of initiatives in bringing corporations closer to the campus and assisting in the establishment of facilities that accommodate the needs of students. It is a key component in counseling and guiding students toward a successful career. It is an essential link between the various stages of the completion of their academic curriculum and their entrance into the market. Its mission is to provide guidance for career planning and opportunities for placement to all students enrolled in the Global Group of Institutes.
Training and Placement Department arranges and coordinates a variety of programs that are designed to mold the students in order to fulfill the expectations of the industry in their professional growth and, in turn, bring accolades to the institution they attend. The department is committed to providing a comprehensive education to students so that they can meet the demands of the ever-changing and competitive work market and create their own successful careers.
