GLS Institute of Computer Technology (GLSICT), Ahmedabad is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and it is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University.
GLS University is a Private University set up under the provisions of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 and the Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2015. The University came into existence on the 15th April 2015. Gujarat Law Society is the sponsoring body of the University. Approval National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

As per law, Universities do not require AICTE approval. Only institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval.
