Admission Process

  • Admissions at Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji are open for students aspiring to pursue studies in the field of pharmacy. The GCP Admissions for 2024 encompass entry points at four academic levels: diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral. GCP Panaji extends programs such as a Diploma in Pharmacy, a Bachelor's in Pharmacy, a Master's with specializations in four branches, and a Doctorate of Pharmacy (Ph.D.). The admission process for each level is overseen by distinct authorities. The duration of courses available at GCP varies from 2 to 4 years. Postgraduate courses at the Goa College of Pharmacy are accessible to GPAT-qualified students with commendable ranks.       Diploma Admissions  Goa College of Pharmacy 2024

      Goa College of Pharmacy extends admission opportunities to eligible students for a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.). The examination process is administered by the Board of Examinations, Porvorim Goa. The eligibility criteria and seat intake for the Diploma course at GCP, Panaji, are outlined in the table below.

      Candidates should have passed 12th in science stream equivalent, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

      Admission Process GCP D.Pharm

      Prospective candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to visit the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa. They can register on the admissions portal and submit the required forms at designated centers.

      Submission of the forms should include self-attested copies of specified documents along with an application fee of Rs. 1700.

      Candidates must participate in the central admission process, and admission decisions will be strictly based on Merit cum Choice.

      The authority will release cut-off ranks, and candidates meeting the criteria will engage in the counseling process in person at the Admission Centre (DTE) during scheduled admission rounds.  They should bring their Admit Card, original documents, and fees.

      Candidates provisionally admitted to Diploma courses must obtain a medical fitness certificate from either Goa Medical College, Bambolim, or any other authorized Medical Attendant approved by the Directorate of Health Services. 

      If a candidate is declared medically unfit, their admission will be canceled.

      The decisions made by the Admission Committee and the Director of Technical Education will be considered final.

      UG Admission GCP Panji 2024

      The institution provides an engaging 4-year Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program for interested students. As an integral component of the curriculum, students undergo a 4-week practical training in pharmaceutical units after the third year.       Candidates should have passed 12th with a minimum of 50% marks, with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics or Computer Science or Biotechnology. 


      Students who passed D. Pharm with good marks are allowed admission in 2nd year of B.Pharm. 

      UG Admission Process GCP Panaji

      Candidates must ensure they fulfill the eligibility criteria and proceed to the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Porvorim, Goa. They are required to register on the admissions portal and submit the application form at designated centers.

      For admission to B.Pharm, applicants need to submit a single Form A. The admission process for this course is merit-based, relying on the scores obtained in the common entrance test (GCET).

      Complete the application form, accessible on the official website, and attach self-attested copies of specified documents.

      Participate in the entrance test, achieve satisfactory marks, and engage in the central admission process facilitated by DTE Goa.

      Following the release of cut-offs by the authority, candidates meeting the specified rank criteria will proceed to the counseling process in person at the Admission Centre (DTE) during the scheduled admission rounds.  They should bring their Admit Card, original documents, and fees.

      The determinations made by the Admission Committee and the Director of Technical Education will be regarded as final.

      PG Admissions GCP Panji 2024

      The Goa College of Pharmacy provides Master’s in Pharmacy programs in four specialized branches: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance), M.Pharm (Pharmacology), M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy), and M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry). The duration of each course is 2 years. The Seat Intake and Eligibility Criteria for M.Pharm are detailed in the table below.

      9-15 seats 

      Candidates should have passed the B. Pharm exam from Goa College of Pharmacy and /or Pharmacy Colleges in Goa or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% marks(50% marks in the case of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidate) 


      For Non-Domicile students, candidates must qualify for the GPAT exam to be eligible for admission.

      GCP Panaji PG Admission Process

      Prospective candidates aspiring to pursue the Master of Pharmacy program at the Goa College of Pharmacy must meet the specified eligibility criteria.

      Candidates are required to visit the college's website and complete the application form for registration.

      Upon application, candidates need to pay the requisite application fee and participate in the GPAT entrance examination.

      The college will compile a merit list, organized group-wise, according to the stipulated schedule.

      Eligible candidates must attend the counseling process in person at the institute, bringing along the acknowledgment card, original documents, and fees, adhering to the provided schedule. 

      During the admission process, candidates have the opportunity to select their preferred branch (Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance/Pharmacognosy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from the available seats. 

      If a candidate fails to appear for the admission rounds or declines the offered admission, they will forfeit their claim based on their merit position for that round.  Subsequently, the seat will be offered to the next person on the merit list.

      The determinations made by the Admission Committee will be considered final.
