Gokul Das Hindu Girls' College was established in the city of Moradabad in 1952 and is affiliated to Agra University. Since then, it has been at the forefront of women’s education. Presently affiliated to M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, the college has 17 departments in all – 06 PG departments and 11 UG departments (including B.Ed), approx. 2000 students, 35 permanent faculty members, 15 part-time faculty members, 11 non-teaching staff members, a full-fledged games and sports section, more than 40,000 books in the library as well as research facility available in 09 subjects.

Gokul Das Hindu Girls' College is situated in the heart of the city of Moradabad. The catchment area of the college is the poorer sections of society – daughters of daily-wage labourers, painters, carpenters, brass artisans, rickshaw- pullers and the like. The girls coming to the college do not have a home environment that is very conducive to higher learning. Ours is a government-affiliated institution that gives wings to the aspirations of these girls and aids them in their quest for higher learning. Although Gokul Das Hindu Girls' College is a relatively small institution, we are a committed lot, striving for excellence in higher education within our limited resources. We aim to equip our students to fit into the national and international workspace by providing them with quality education.

Residential Accommodations:

Gokul Das Hindu Girls College has provided a hostel facility for girls since its inception and can accommodate around 100 students. But since the last three years, with most of the admissions secured by local students, the need to run a separate hostel was not feasible and therefore it was decided to shut it down. Moreover, due to COVID-19 pandemic we had another reason to keep the hostel shut. However, now the decision has been taken to reopen the hostel Facilities for Staff members and Students and also to utilize the hostel building for other activities like NSS, Rovers Rangers, Yoga & Meditation Centre, College Gym Facility, and Muskuraega India Initiative

Library:

Our college has an enriched central library and an up-to-date computer facility. There is a separate Library Advisory Committee to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the library, including the acquisition of new material, supervision of repair of old books and analyzing the future needs; requirements of the library. The purchase of books is done according to the requirements of the staff; students. We are in the process to completely revamping our library into a digital library so as to allow students to access any material of our library anywhere and anytime.

Sports Facilities:

Sports in the institution play a central role in preparing the students to be psychologically and physically strong to face adversaries with a competitive spirit. It helps to instill a spirit of teamwork and harmony in the students. Students can learn to adopt a competitive approach where success doesn’t abate their concentration and failure doesn’t deter their intention.

Cafe/Mess Facility:

There is a canteen available in the college that caters to all the refreshment requirements of the college. The canteen facility is made available for students and staff with subsidies rates from 9.00 am to 04.00 pm. It is run properly from the point of view of the students, guardians and others. College pays special attention to the quality of food items and cleanliness of the canteen. The substances are provided with subsidized rates. Safe drinking water is available by means of a submersible pump and purified by an RO system.
