Residential Accommodations: Boys Hostel

Government College of Engineering and Research, Awasari (kd) has Two Boy Hostels namely, "Matoshree Hostel - A" and "Matoshree Hostel - B" on the college campus with an intake of 360 students for all four years. The area of each hostel building is 3200 sq meters and has 4 floors, 48 rooms, 2 Recreation Hall, a Waiting Area on each floor and a lot of space for the study also. Ragging is strictly prohibited in Hostels.

Hostel Facilities:

Mess: - Boys Hostel has one Mess which is compulsory for all boys staying in a hostel.

Gym: - Also a well-equipped Gym is available for all hostel Boys.

TV: - One LCD TV is available for all Boys in the common room with a DTH connection in each hostel.

Solar Water Heater: - Each hostel is equipped with a solar water heater having a capacity of 1000

liters per day.Water Purifier and Cooler: - Water cleanser and water cooler unit are supplied on every ground for secure ingesting water.

Furniture: - Rooms are four seated. For each pupil 1 cot, 1 chair, 1 desk, and an integrated cabinet are provided.

Newspaper: - Two English & Marathi (Indian Express, Times of India, Maharashtra times &Sakal) newspapers are supplied every day to replace the General Knowledge of all Boys in the hostel.

Security: - Security Guards have stationed at the hostel 24 X 7 Hrs.

Cleanliness: - Cleanliness is maintained by hired sweepers in hostels

Girls Hostel

Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari Khurd has one ladies' hostel on the college campus near to Principal quarter having 230 students capacity for all four years. The area of the hostel is 3200 sq. meters and has 4 floors, 48 rooms, 4 computer halls, 3 recreation halls, a waiting area on each floor, and lots of space for study. Girls hostel has a very airy and healthy environment. Ragging is against the law in ladies' hostels.

Hostel Facilities:

Mess: - Mess is to be had and obligatory for all college students staying in the university hostel.

Gymnasium: - A well-equipped gym is available for all girls with Power Bike, Personal Home Gym, Multifunctional Trade Mill, Dumbbells, Weight Lifting Set, Aerobic s Kit, Power Steps, Yoga Mats, etc.

TV: - One LCD TV is available for all ladies in now no longer unusual place room with a DTH connection.

Furniture: - 4 students stay in each room. For every student 1 cot, 1 chair, 1 table, and a wall-mounted cupboard are available in the room.

Newspaper: - Newspapers like Lokamat, Sakal, Indian Express, and Times of India are provided to upgrade the current knowledge.

Security: - 24*7 hrs security is available.

Maintenance: - Maintenance of hostel premises is monitored by the student committee.

Library:

Institute Library is endowed with an adequate number of titles and volumes of reference books, textbooks, handbooks, etc to cater to the needs of teaching-learning activities of all six academic departments. Books other than technical books such as management, humanities, literature, etc are also available. It is an integral part of the administrative building having a total 250 sqm area including separate periodicals/magazine sections and reading rooms. It has well-maintained stack rooms, reprographics facilities, internet facility, etc besides this Central Library each department has its departmental library

Digital Library Facility:

We offer about 586 online e-journals from various branches of Engineering and Science on the college campus. Accessible e-journals are essential and frequently used in engineering curricula. This facility (surfing, downloading, and printing) is made available to the entire faculty and registered students, they can access any article/research papers of their interest from the list of 586 journals using any computer connected to the institute network.

Gymkhana Facilities:

Gymkhana plays a pivotal role in the overall development of students. It gives a platform to showcase their sports and cultural talents. Gymkhana activities help to improve skills like dedication, involvement, balance, and leadership. GCOEARA’s gymkhana department is well-equipped with art and sports equipment. Students of all departments actively participate in various events conducted through the Gymkhana Department.

The training and placement cell is on high alert, securing opportunities for the students whenever they come. To acquire the best possible employability skills we are organizing training programs both by industry experts as well as professionals. The office not only ensures that students have opportunities to get well placed but also consistently guides them for other carries/higher education options, to enable them to fulfill their aspirations. As the institute is established in the year 2009 we have done a modest start in placement.
