Dharmapuri Government College of Engineering (Dharmapuri Government College of Engineering) was established in the year 2013 and is the fruit of a comprehensive vision of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalitha (vide G.O Ms. No. 11 dated 30.01 .2013). The Institute is one of the Tamil Nadu Government Engineering Colleges and is located at the foothills of thickly forested hills in the vast Chettikarai area of ??Dharmapuri. These courses are approved by AICTE (F.No. Southern /2015/1-2492832711 dated 30th April 2015 and F.No. Southern/1-2811454990/2016/EOA) and each course has 60 seats every year.

The existing buildings include a vast two-story building that contains administrative offices, 4 seminar rooms, 1 hall, 20 classrooms and 1 lecture hall, 7 laboratories, an investment room, a central library, and an emergency room.
