GCE Facilities
GCE Facilities CCF is a centralized Computer Centre for the staff and students of this college. CCF maintains and manages the Campus networking and Internet Facility. It acts as the nodal center for all the information technology resources of the Institute. It involves the design, installation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure including the network, software resources, and IT-enabled services and facilities. The CCF coordinates and delivers facility Management offerings to customers on campus like DigitalLibrary, Online Journals, e-books, Remote magnificence rooms, Courses of NPTEL, Video Lecture facility, etc.
Centre for Automation and Control, An interdisciplinary initiative by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering organizing the seventh batch of intensive training programs on PLC & SCADA programming. The Centre for Automation & Control was established in 2017 to promote educational and research activities in the field of automation and control systems.
GCE Facilities has 2 open-air auditoriums with a seating capacity of about 1000-1500. In addition to this, there is a community auditorium with a seating capacity of 1200 in which all the academic, professional, and cultural gatherings are held. The main blocks also have a separate conference hall aimed the administrative purposes. Departmental blocks have their seminar halls. All seminar halls are equipped with the latest technology-based audio-visual systems, excellent furniture, and equipment.
GCE Facilities Sports GCEK believes in poised personalities and that is why we have been provided with the best sports facilities. This sector includes facilities and playgrounds for sports events viz cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, and also indoor games like shuttle badminton, table tennis, caroms, and chess. Students can use the multi-functional gym to care for their health and fitness. The main ground is also the venue for the track and field events of annual sports.
The Government College Of Engineering (GCE, Kannur) canteen is run on a co-operative basis from 1995 onwards, with the active involvement of students and staff.
