Bangalore Government College of Pharmacy was established in 1964 on 6.5 acres of land and offered D.Pharm and B.pharm courses approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) and Pharmacy Council of India and M.Pharm. was accepted. and funded by A.I.C.T.E. B.Pharm intake capacity is 50 seats per year. D.Pharm intake capacity is 60 seats every year. The intake capacity for M.Pharm is 24 seats every year. Hostels are available for students. Additional campus facilities like various pharmaceutical labs, maths labs, academic zone, Wi-Fi, AC, AV lab, auditorium, canteen, computer lab, and convo. There is also a lounge, counseling, hostel for boys and girls, healing garden, library, and sports.
