Government College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad has been started in 1996 with the efforts of the Honorable Late Shri. Govindbhaiji Shroff as a part of his social obligation to which Marathwada region was awaiting. Initially, it has been started as one of the Departments of the Government College of Engineering. Subsequently, in 1999, it acquired the status of a full-fledged Government College. Now the college is situated in its status or art building of around 8000 sq. ft. The institute in its short span has established credibility to impart quality education to the masses. The institute is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, and approved by AICTE and the Government of Maharashtra. It is conducting four years B. Pharm. course with an annual intake of 60 students, two-year M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) with an annual intake of 18 students and 08 students, and 6 year integrated course. The college also has approved facilities from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad for doctoral studies.

Candidates have to apply online for CAP conducted by DTE, Maharashtra through its official website. 

Students who have passed 10+2 in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects or have a Diploma in Pharmacy are eligible to get admission to the B.Pharm course.

Those who have passed 10+2 in any discipline are considered eligible for admission to Pharma.D program.

Applicants who hold a B.Pharm Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to join the M.Pharm course.

Admission to B.Pharm is given based on the candidate’s merit in MHT-CET through CAP conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

Selection of the applicants for admission to the M.Pharm course is done based on their marks obtained in GPAT through GAP conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
