Infrastructure and Facilities:

Government DB Girl's Post Graduate College has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from Government DB Girl's Post Graduate College, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of Government DB Girl's Post Graduate College are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library Facility:

The college is a ‘Golden Treasury’ in the form of a rich library with almost 63,022 Books, 57 National and International Journals, and a number of magazines and newspapers. The library runs with the technical support of SOUL 2.0 software. Study material in Braille is made available for visually- challenged students. The library is equipped with computers and printers, and the library has a membership of N-list journals and Delnet. Free Internet access and a paid photocopy facility are available.

Reading Room Facility:

A spacious and well-furnished Reading Room is situated at the college. It also contains a Computer Centre with an internet facility. It provides a conducive atmosphere for the students to read their study materials and books and also engage in the task of writing their assignments and projects. The rules and regulations governing the conduct of students in the Reading Room will be informed to the students at the beginning of the academic year.

Auditorium Facility:

An auditorium with a seating capacity of over 1000 has been standing for 63 years at the College. As a pioneer of such a facility, the state of this auditorium has witnessed many memorable events including a visit by the First Women President of India Smt Pratibha Devisingh Patil to commemorate the Golden Jubilee year (2008) of the establishment of this college. This was the first occasion for any academic institution of Chhattisgarh, to have the privilege of greeting the President.

Seminar Hall Facility:

The college has a well-furnished adequately spacious and magnificent Seminar Hall with a sitting capacity of 150+ students at a time. The Hall is well equipped with all smart facilities. Renowned academicians and intellectuals of different spheres are invited to address students and teaching staff on various subjects, topics of academic, and other co-related pursuits with a view to widening the horizon of knowledge of the students and the staff as well. Seminars and Workshops including competitive programmes related to various academic spheres are also organized to give exposure and nurture their talents and to promote the overall development of the students.

Hostel Facility:

Entering through a magnificent secured gate of the college campus, one is drawn towards four hostels which are home for those who are away from their home, The lush green cover of plants and trees provides a serene atmosphere to the students since 1962, The hostel has served as the second home for the girls of this tribal state. The hostel environment has successfully brought together the traditional tribal culture of rural Chhattisgarh with the modern scientific temper of urban India.

Gym Facility:

Our college was looking for ways to increase physical activity before or after college time so college hosted an open gym! The gymnasium is available to students, and staff members to play pick-up sports such as basketball or volleyball, participate in fitness stations, run laps, etc. Opening it had helped significantly to increase the daily physical activity of the students. Having an open gym in our college allows for a safe space for students to be physically active.

Canteen Facility:

The objective of the Canteen and meal service is to protect by reducing the risk of foodborne illness, with proper sanitary conditions, and preventing adulterated food at a reasonable price. From the very beginning of the College, the College Canteen has been functioning efficiently. The canteen is located inside the College. The hostellers and day scholars are provided meals to ensure food safety and quality. The students, who come from faraway places, start their journey to the College early in the morning. Even many day scholars use canteen facilities for their breakfast and evening tea with snacks. Presently there are 700 students in the four hostels of the College.
