This college had its beginning in 1945 at an intermediate level with just 47 students. Before the prevailing building got here into existence, the university became positioned withinside the Bagla School, Churu. It was shifted to the present location in 1949 when it was upgraded to graduation level in the commerce stream. Hostel Facility:

The hostel is situated on the college campus itself, just a stone's throw from the main college building.t is among the largest (perhaps the largest one) in Rajasthan with 128 rooms, one auditorium, and playgrounds. This is to say something about the farsightedness of that great visionary, Seth Kanhaiya Lal Lohia, that he built such a big hostel at a time when there was absolutely no need for such a big size.

Library:

The college library is quite rich having a very good collection of books on almost all the subjects. There are more than 100184 books in it. The reference section has authentic dictionaries, various general as well as subject-specific encyclopedias, reference books, etc. The books are stacked on open shelves and the students have free access to them.

Laboratories:

Each of the subjects in the Faculty of Science has more than one laboratory. Subjects like zoology, botany, chemistry, Physics, Maths, and geography which offer postgraduate courses also, have separate laboratories for UG & PG classes. The labs are equipped with the latest equipment and instruments. Adequate infrastructural facilities exist not only for the students but also for the research scholars. Today, English has become the lingua franca of the world. Therefore, knowledge of it is essential for success. To facilitate the learning of English, particularly spoken English, the Government of Rajasthan decided to equip some select colleges in the state with language labs. This college, being a Model College, is one such college where the language lab has been installed.

Sports:

There are sprawling playgrounds in this college. Adequate infrastructural facilities are available for organizing games, sports and athletics events. Facilities for outdoor games like football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, kabaddi, kho kho, etc exist.
