Government Medical College, Jammu (GMC) was established in the year 1973 to provide medical education and health service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. This institution was initiated with the sole purpose to train fifty MBBS students annually & to serve as a referral for Jammu Hospital. Presently, the seating volume has been rising up to 150 students annually.
