The long-awaited need for a Medical College in Kota division was fulfilled by the state government by making a decision for that purpose in 1992. The Govt. Medical College Kota came into existence in March 1992 and Dr. RL Ajmera, Professor of Physiology joined on 7th March 1992 as the first principal.
Government Medical College, Kota, Affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, and is Approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) Indian Nursing Council.
