Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode( Calicut Medical College) is a premier medical college located in the city of Kozhikode in Kerala. It was established in 1957 as the second medical college in Kerala.
Government Medical College (GMC), Kozhikode is a public medical college located in Kozhikode, Kerala. It was established in the year 1957 and the campus is spread over an area of 270 acres. GMC Kozhikode is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The institute offers various UG, PG, and Super-Speciality courses in the field of Medicine, Dental, Pharmacy, and Nursing. GMC Kozhikode offers admission to all the courses based on merit in the entrance examination.GMC Kozhikode offers a total of 250 seats for the MBBS and 20 seats for the B.Pharma course for the academic year 2023. The college accepts qualifying examinations such as NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET SS. Admission to B.Sc and B.Pharm at GMC Kozhikode is based on KEAM score. A total of 50% of seats are reserved for State-Level Merit i.e. students from Kerala. Students are provided with facilities such as Library, Hostel, Laboratories, and Lecture Halls.
