The Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Thiruvananthapuram Medical College) is in Thiruvananthapuram (the capital of Kerala), India. Founded in 1951, it was dedicated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and is Kerala's oldest medical college. The college was known in early records as Medical College (of Thiruvananthapuram), since it was the only medical institute in the state at its inception. Its campus houses several hospitals and institutions in addition to Medical College Hospital (MCH), including the Colleges of Nursing and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram Dental College, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, the Priyadarshini Institute of Paramedical Sciences and the Sree Avittom Thirunal Hospital for Women and Children (SAT Hospital). The Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), also a part of the college, is being upgraded to a national-level independent institute. The School of Optometry is also on campus.

• On the college campus, there is a Medical college hospital (MCU), Institute for Nursing and Paramedical Science, Thiruvananthapuram medical college, Shree Chitra tribunal institute for medical science and Technology, Priyadarshini Institute of Paramedical Science, Shri Avittom tribunal hospital for women and children, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and school of optometry in it.
• The medical college, Thiruvananthapuram has two affiliated hospitals which are Government medical college hospital (MCH) and Sri Avittom tribunal hospital for Women and children. 
• The college offers a total of 250 seats to MBBS students and 249 seats to PG students.
• Of the 250 seats, 15% of seats are for All India Quota (AIQ), and 85% of seats are for Kerala students.
• In the 15% AIQ seats, there is a reservation for General, SC, and ST.
• Also, in the 85% seats, there are many reservations for different categories of Kerala people like state merit, Ezhava, Scheduled caste and scheduled tribes, Backward caste Hindu, Other Backward Christian, Anglo Indian, Muslims, Kuzhavan, and Dheevara.
• For UG students, after completing their final exams, there will be a compulsory internship for 6 months with a stipend of INR 25,000/-. 
• A learning resource center with an internet facility is available to make references and research.
• The college contains two lecture halls which can accommodate 250 students each.

• In the Govt. Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, the students are offered a scholarship to enhance their education and facilitate the students who are short of financial assistance. The scholarship was provided by the state government as well as the central government.
