The library has a wide collection of books on Engineering/Technology and other subjects of general interest. The total number of books in the library is 32522 with reference books. A book bank facility is also available. The library is an annual subscriber of 11 Journals/magazines of technical and general interest.

Hostel:

Government Polytechnic Ahmednagar provides hostel facilities for both female and male students who reside beyond 30km distance from the college campus. The total capacity of girls’ and boys’ hostel is around 180 students each which is then divided among the first, second, and third-year diploma students as per the seats available per program and government reservation rules. 

Gymkhana:

Institute is In charge of the E1 zone of IEDSSA to Organize/conduct zonal sports competitions under the guidance of IEDSSA Pune ( Head office, GP Pune). E1 zone IEDSSA (GP Ahmednagar) includes all the polytechnics and D pharmacy institutes in Ahmednagar Districts. The Gymkhana department provides indoor games- chess, carrom, Table-Tennis, Badminton, etc and Outdoor games – Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Athletics, Cricket, Football, wrestling, and Weight lifting for boys and girls. Institute has playgrounds for Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Athletics, etc for the practice of such sports.

Training and Placements

The Training and Placement Cell of Government Polytechnic Ahmednagar facilitates the campus placements of diploma students. Due to the excellent performance of our students in the industries, they visit every year for conducting a recruitment drive. The Placement Cell provides support to the visiting industries at every stage of the placement process such as arrangements for Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests, Group Activities, and Personal Interviews.
