Government Polytechnic College Belur Established in 2008-2009, is an AICTE-approved institute run by the Government of Karnataka under the Department of Technical Education. The foundation stone of the present building was laid by Sri Aravinda Limbaavali, then Minister of Higher Education, in 2009. It will be inaugurated by the then Minister of Higher Education Sri C T Ravi in the presence of Honorable former Prime Minister of India Sri H D. Devegowda. In the year 2012. Our college is located in a green campus spread over 5 acres of land on the outskirts of Belur City. It is about 3 km from the bus stand and 2 km from the world-famous Hoysala temple towards Mudigere. The college is well separated from the city by coffee and pepper plantations, creating a calm and cool atmosphere that is good for studying. Most of the students studying here are from rural areas, hailing from Belur City and surrounding Belur villages. The State University of Applied Sciences has more than 800 volumes. The library has some books from various fields of engineering and technical and natural sciences. Students are offered the opportunity to read in the library. The library is open on all weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Newspapers, magazines and periodicals are stored in the shelves provided for them. The number of students' own books in the library at the same time is limited to two. Upon receiving the books, the student must ensure that the books are in good condition. If not, he must inform the librarian immediately. Otherwise, he is responsible for any errors or damages found in the books at the time of return.

Laboratory:

The laboratory of the National University of Applied Sciences has four main branches, which are construction technology, computer science and technology, electronics and communication technology, and mechanical engineering. Each department has well-trained faculty and good infrastructural support for students with well-equipped laboratory facilities. Students can do mini-projects/activities/research in their spare time with the help of project coordinators. Our institute has computer labs with more than 110 computers with latest hardware and software specifications. The latest software is installed and updated according to the needs of the curriculum.
