Language Laboratory: 

Language Lab offers a unique opportunity to facilitate language learning through computer classes. This experience is designed to improve students' 4 core language skills, particularly in the context of the 2021 Revision where there is a strong emphasis on developing listening and speaking skills in the second semester.  Our language laboratory is equipped with twenty-five computers that comply with AICTE guidelines. LAN connection and Internet connectivity allow students to access a wide range of language-learning resources and materials. The college has also installed language lab software that provides a wealth of content for language development.

Hostels: 

The college has hostels only for men called Periyar. The Men's Shelter is located on the left side of the college on campus amidst the glittering skyline. GPC Kalamassery offers students a wide range of hostel services. As the ideal hostel should essentially be a home away from home, the facilities offered here aim to instill a sense of belonging, security, caring, and a spirit of independence within reason.  Periyar Hostel has 30 rooms and can accommodate students. Accommodation is managed by a Resident Assisted Warden (RT) and two Resident Assistant Wardens (ART). The canteen is administered by a canteen committee elected from among the students. For the smooth operation of the dormitory, the students elect a canteen secretary and two altar servers. Hostels have a hygienic atmosphere. Resident Guardians (RT) take care of the hostels and ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the hostels. House is under the direct control of the Guardian, who is supported by the Resident Guardians (RT). The Chief has the authority to make ordinances and orders governing the internal affairs of the Inn, and the Chief's decision is final in all matters affecting the Inn. In addition, the Director of the Residence reserves the right to periodically change the regulations in force by notifying students through general circulars posted on the Residence's bulletin boards and to all residents.  Hostels must strictly adhere to these rules. 

Smart Class: 

The concept of intelligent classroom education is truly a boon to 21st-century students. Smart classrooms all use interactive modules such as videos and presentations, and these visually appealing teaching methods will appeal to students who are already struggling with traditional classroom teaching methods.  Almost all classrooms at our university are equipped with LED projectors, high-quality wooden furniture, fans, fluorescent tubes, wall clocks, etc. 

Placement Cell: 

Placement Unit, Government Polytechnic College (GPC), Kalamassery considers each student's placement their primary responsibility. A genuine employment service works to create better opportunities for its students and bridges the gap between potential employers and students. 

The employment agency plays a key role in the search for job offers for engineering graduates and maintains contacts with well-known companies and industrialists. One of the main tasks of the internship position is to motivate and prepare the students for participation in job interviews and subsequent contacts with employers. 

The number of students admitted through campus recruitment is steadily increasing. College has managed to keep our seating statistics high over the years. Each year, several reputable and multinational organizations recruit Kalamassery GPC students.
