Founded and recognized by The Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1955, Govt. Polytechnic College Ujjain (M.P.) is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Graded `A` by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) Bhopal M.P. Residential Accommodations:

At GPC Ujjain, we understand the importance of providing our students with a comfortable, safe and supportive living environment. We are having 75 sitter Boys hostel. Our hostels are designed to provide students with a safe, secure, and comfortable living space that promotes personal growth and academic success.

At GPC Ujjain, we recognize the importance of providing a safe environment for our Girl's students. The college campus has hostel accommodations for girls. It has two hostels with a total capacity of 101 students. The hostel rooms are fully furnished with common provisions for water purifiers and water heaters. Common room facilities with cable T.V. and telephone are available in each hostel. Both the hostels have in-house ness canteens that provide good quality. Food at pocket-friendly costs. The warden Mrs Mitra Sarkar and The caretaker Mrs Rekha Khapre have. Been managing the hostels since their establishment in 2012 and 2016 and have also received appreciation from Principal Secretary V.P. Singh for the exemplary functioning of the hostels.

Library:

Our library has a comprehensive collection of 25000 books, journals, periodicals, and other resources related to engineering and other disciplines. Our collection includes both print and electronic resources, and we provide students with access to online databases and e-books, ensuring that they have access to the latest knowledge and information.

Our library is staffed by experienced and knowledgeable librarians who are available to provide students with guidance and support in their studies. They work closely with faculty members to ensure that our collection is aligned with the needs of our students and that our services are designed to meet their needs.

Workshop:

Workshop practice is the backbone of the real industrial environment which helps to develop and enhance relevant technical hand skills required by the technicians working in the various engineering industries and workshops.

Our workshop intends to impart basic know-how of various hand tools, power tools, machine tools and their use in different sections of manufacturing. Irrespective of the branch, the use of workshop practices in day-to-day industrial as well as domestic life helps to solve real-life problems. The workshop experiences would help to build an understanding of the complexity of the industrial job, along with the time and skills requirements of the job.

The workshop curriculum builds hands-on experience, which will help to learn manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering courses in successive semesters. Workshop practice is also important since only “Practice makes the man perfect”. The students are advised to undergo each skill experience with remembrance, understanding and application, with special emphasis on the attitude of enquiry to know why and how for the various instructions and practices imparted to them in each shop.

Auditorium:

GPC Ujjain is having a modern auditorium in college designed to accommodate a large number of audience up to 250. It is used for academic and cultural events such as lectures, presentations, seminars, workshops, conferences, and performances.

The college auditorium is complete Wi-Fi and equipped with audio-visual equipment such as sound systems, projectors, screens, and lighting to facilitate the presentations and performances and has comfortable seating arrangements for the audience, arranged in a sloping configuration to provide an unobstructed view of the stage.

Seminar Hall:

A good seminar hall is an essential component of any diploma engineering college for the academic and professional development of the students. It provides a space for students and faculty members to conduct presentations, lectures, seminars, and other academic events. A well-equipped seminar hall can enhance the overall learning experience of the students and help them develop their communication skills.

The college seminar hall is spacious and well-lit. It is having comfortable seating arrangements for students and faculty members. The seminar hall is equipped with modern audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and screens. The use of these tools helps to enhance the delivery of presentations and make them more engaging for the audience. In addition to the physical infrastructure, we also have a well-trained technical team to manage the audio-visual equipment and address any technical issues that may arise during the seminar.

Sports Facilities:

We have a large multipurpose indoor sports hall that can accommodate activities such as basketball, badminton, volleyball, and table tennis. We also have an outdoor sports field that is suitable for activities such as football, cricket, and athletics.
