Infrastructure

The College is having a10 Mbps Internet connection, locally networked and connected through wi-fi also to the central server are available for students for their project work and preparing seminar presentations. It also accesses e-books, study materials, previous question papers daily circulars, etc. through the college Local Area Network. Internet facilities in the well-equipped internet lab, providing high speed of connectivity the student can surf the net together unlimited information. In addition to the Computer Centre of the institute which caters to specialized computational needs of the academic community, the department has its own computing facilities for faculty Staff and students of the department.

The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has 12908 volumes and 5689 titles available in the library. The library is equipped with a reading area with a seating capacity of around 60 people. Internet facility is also available to access e-journals and e-books. Library management is facilitated with KOHA software. Catalogs of available books are also available for students and faculty members. The library aims for enriching the knowledge of students and faculty members for their overall development.

The College has a well-equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of over 100 people. A regular venue for conferences, workshops, and seminars, this auditorium has all the facilities to enhance the learning process.

In addition to the Computer Centre of the institute which caters to specialized computational needs of the academic community, the department has its own computing facilities for faculty Staff and students of the department.

The College is investing to make these facilities even better. A new sports pavilion was opened in 2013, providing enhanced changing facilities and space to socialize. A major refurbishment of the gym facilities was also completed the same year.

The college canteen is situated within the college campus. It is open for all and there is a separate seating arrangement for staff, students, and patients. All types of snacks, soft drinks, meals are available at subsidized rates. The canteen opens from 6 am up to 10 pm every day.

Admission

The Diploma in Engineering or Diploma in Technical Studies is a technical degree below the undergraduate rank which aims to provide students with some basic knowledge of engineering, scientific, computing, mathematical techniques, a sound knowledge of English to communicate in the job field and ability to apply the basic problem solving techniques. Its duration is 3 years. After successful completion of Diploma in Engineering course, students can either continue further Engineering studies in undergraduate level or get employment as supervisors, foremen, sales engineers, workshop technicians, draughtsman, service station managers, auto engineers, agricultural overseers, farm managers, junior instructors, workshop superintendents etc.ne can apply for studying diploma in engineering degree after completion of 10th Board Exam or Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination.

The goal of Training & Placement Cell is to provide employment opportunities and world class training to Students in Leading Organizations.

GP has effective Training & Placement Cell dedicated for strengthening the interaction between Institute and Industry. The cell is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all needed skills and placing them in top companies. The leading companies from all sectors are invited by Training & Placement Department at GPG.

Students are apprised/trained on continuous basis through seminars and workshops about higher learning opportunities. It has the privilege of providing placement to the students in final year itself.
