Kunnamkulam Government Polytechnic College is a technical college located in the Government Sector of Thrissur District in Kizoor, Vysseri, 2.5 km from Kunnamkulam city. The total area of ?? the institute is 12.5 hectares. Previously this institute was Govt. Secondary School of Technology and converted to University of Technology in 1994. The Institute offers undergraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, and Instrumentation and Matrix Engineering with an AICTE-approved enrollment of 60 students in each department.  In addition to the diploma course, the CDTP and CEC programs are also offered. In addition, there is also a GIFD unit in this facility.

The placement cell of our, Technical College is largely responsible and committed to identifying and meeting the educational needs of students so that they can develop a good personality and help them get the right job, and help them get into good companies sooner.  We recognize that in addition to developing technical skills, several behavioral traits need to be addressed to transform the raw student into an employable graduate. Some of the behavioral characteristics are good communication skills, developing a positive attitude at work, understanding moral and ethical values, etc. To this end, the Employment Unit also runs a vocational training program.
