The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a comprehensive survey of the available facilities for technical education and promote development in a coordinated and integrated manner across the country. The AICTE Act was formulated to establish the council, intending to facilitate proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education system throughout India. Its objectives include promoting qualitative improvements in technical education alongside planned quantitative growth, as well as regulating and maintaining norms and standards within the technical education system and related matters.
GRWP Affiliated to the MSBTE
The Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) operates as an autonomous entity under the auspices of the Government of Maharashtra, entrusted with overseeing Diploma Level Technical education across the state. Over the years, MSBTE has distinguished itself through its comprehensive approach to curriculum development and its adept implementation strategies. These efforts encompass faculty development programs, initiatives aimed at student development, fostering industry-institution interactions, academic monitoring, and the introduction of various online evaluation activities. In response to evolving educational paradigms, MSBTE has recently expanded its scope to include skill development initiatives, thereby enhancing its service offerings. Recognizing the critical importance of aligning curricula with industry expectations, MSBTE has undertaken a rigorous revision process to ensure that diploma students are equipped with the requisite skills for employability. This revised curriculum, implemented from the academic year 2017-18, reflects a concerted effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands. Drawing from insights gleaned through close engagement with stakeholders, my commitment lies in revitalizing existing processes and embracing cutting-edge technological solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of MSBTE's operations, ultimately benefitting all stakeholders involved in the technical education ecosystem.
