Govindram Seksaria Science College (also known as GSSC) was established in 1966 with the idea of providing quality education to students and giving them weapons of education so that they can eradicate poverty, social inequality, and unemployment in our country. It offers PUC, UG, and PG courses in the Science stream. It comes under the South Konkan Education Society (familiar as SKE Society) which is the best organization running educational institutions in Belagavi.

Library

The Library, situated in an ideal building, is adequately equipped with specially designed furniture which caters to the needs of the students and staff of GSS College. The study halls are spread over 1216.269 sq. meters, which can accommodate more than 300 students. The library is open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm on all working days. In addition to the study halls, there is a separate spacious Reading Room that houses newspapers and periodicals to help students keep abreast with current global affairs. Students are provided with the free internet facility having e-books. There are 25 computers available for students to cater to their needs. 

Gym

The college has a Multi-specialty - Gym where many students can perform weight training at the same time. Other accessories required for weight training are also available. An instructor is present to help students in using the instruments. Students and staff are encouraged to use this facility. A nominal fee is charged for students.

Hostels

The institute provides separate hostel facilities to boys and girls. The rooms are equipped with all the basic and necessary needs of a student.

Auditorium

Govindram Seksaria Science College has an Auditorium that can accommodate more than 300 students. It includes an attached washroom, green room, and dining hall, etc.

Playground

It has a large playground that covers an area of 6 acres. The majority of outdoor games such as Badminton, Cricket, kho-kho, basketball, Hockey, Football, etc. can be played by students.

Sports

The campus has a large playground covering nearly 8.14 acres. The ground has a turf cricket pitch along with nets and two cement pitches for practice, a kho-kho court, and is suitably marked for hockey and football matches. The eight-lane tracks for athletics, basketball court, netball court, and handball court, along with a mini stadium.

Scholarships

Meritorious students get scholarships from the South Konkan Empowerment Charitable Foundation which provides financial help to the degree students. Apart from this, there are some Endowment prizes given by Generous Donors to students who perform excellently in academics. 6 scholarships/prizes and 21 Endowment prizes are provided to deserving, meritorious, and needy students each year.
