Govt. College Gurugram Sector - 9 was set up in 2003 to promote the value of education among students. It got approval from the University of Delhi because of its well-maintained education system. When the college was established it was known as ‘Government College, Sector 9’. The College gets accreditation with a ‘B’ Grade from the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), and the University Grant Commission (UGC). The Government College Gurugram offers various programs like BA, B.Sc., B.Com, MA. To get admitted to these courses candidates have to appear for the entrance exam including DUET, the admission is based on exam cutoff. The programs are taught by experienced teaching staff with modern techniques. The faculty members try to develop students' skills so they get a great job with at least a package of INR 3-5 LPA. The widespread campus covers the area of around 5 acres of land in Gurugram Sector-9 including all necessary facilities like a well-stocked library with over 14,000 books, state-of-the-art laboratories, IT infrastructure, a cafeteria and sports facilities like cricket, basketball and badminton courts.
