The Dental wing was started with a strength of 12 admissions which were subsequently raised to twenty and thereafter to 40 admissions for the BDS course. BDS: Government Dental College Patiala BDS admission is entrance-based. The course duration of the BDS program is four years with one year of compulsory rotating internship. Candidates appearing for NEET UG only can apply for the BDS program. All the BDS seats, including NRI/ management quota seats, are allotted only by merit under the state quota through counseling conducted by Punjab-NEET.
MDS: Government Dental College Patiala MDS admission is entrance-based. The institute offers MDS in four specialties of Dentistry. The course duration of the MDS program is three years. a total of seven seats are offered across all four specializations of the program.
1. Candidates, who have passed BDS from a Dental college recognized by DCI, are eligible for MDS.
2. Candidates must have completed their rotating internship of at least one year after passing BDS on or before April 30, of the year of admission.
3. Counseling is conducted by the Director General of Health Science (DGHS) and the names of candidates, who clear the cut-off score of NEET MDS, are forwarded to finish the admission process.
