The generous philanthropist Seth Shri Tola Ram Jalan in fond memory and tribute to his late father Seth Shri Mohan Lal Jalan provided the Main building of the college to the people of Ratangarh feeling the importance of higher education. At the time of its inception, it started with arts faculty only.
