The Government Women's Polytechnic College in Bhopal plays an important role in developing world-class technicians and entrepreneurs fit for the demands of a rapidly changing industrial sector.  Founded in 1964, it is the first college of applied sciences in the country to offer vocational technical education exclusively to women. She has made significant contributions to the technical education of modern women through various Diploma and Postgraduate programs approved by AICTE and State Government under Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.

College Campus: 

The college covers a large four-hectare campus with a well-ventilated building, a hostel, a sports field, etc. The college building has spacious classrooms, a seminar hall, well-equipped laboratories, workshops, and a library, thus offering a learning environment.

Library: 

The library is well stocked with almost 30,644 books. Of these, about 23,107 Gen.Books and 7537 books are only available to SC/ST students. A complete set of books according to the semester program For all STSC students to examine. We also subscribe to some professional journals (10), magazines (14), newspapers (8), and e-books (127). The College is also an institutional member of the British Council Library in Bhopal. 

Sports grounds and attractions: 

“A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. With this in mind, the Sports Committee organizes various sporting activities during the annual celebrations. The Commission objected to students having sports facilities as part of the program. Various sports activities such as table tennis, Minton bed, chess, carrom, discus. Throwing, javelin throwing, hammer throwing, etc. They are practiced on the college campus and all students can participate in the activities of their choice. From time to time, the committee also seeks the support and advice of sports experts.  Why Self-Defense is Essential to Empowering Women. Therefore, from time to time, the Commission organizes free self-defense courses. On the occasion of Youth and World Yoga Day, the committee organizes a yoga camp for students and staff of the college.

Hostels:

Accommodation: Well-shared apartments are available for 98 students in 16 three-bed rooms and 25 double rooms.

Adequate dining room, recreation room, reading room, five computers with internet access, television, home theater, and Wi-Fi on campus are available. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
